Abracadabra, Dua Lipa has released a new single!
Once mercilessly memed for having no rhythm, the British singer shows off some rather decent moves as she turns a dance studio into a full-blown rave, all to a slick and simmering groove.
‘Houdini’ has some pretty serious cred behind it, with Danny L Harle and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker producing the track. It’s definitely Lipa’s best track yet, up there with the magic that was ‘Levitating,’ still pulsating with the singer’s trademark disco but with a sleeker, more seductive edge.
Says Lipa (via Stereogum):
‘Houdini’ is very tongue in cheek, exploring the idea of whether someone is really worth my while or if I’ll ghost them in the end […] “You never know where something may take you, that’s the beauty of being open to whatever life throws your way.’
